Fohrbach Schwimmbad Tel 01 391 56 00. Witelliker Strasse 47 This is the best swimming pool i have found in Zürich. The Hallenbad (inside) is WARM (30C) and has 4 pools- a lap pool, a shallow pool for bigger kids with bubble seats and massage waterfalls, a baby pool with a little slide, and one with a giant indoor slide. The outside has a big pool, a really great kids pool with a pirateship/slide and a baby pool. The playground is in view of the baby pool which is a big plus. They also have a sauna, a dampfbad and a Tarzan parcours. All this for only 6 SFr. Zürich Babysitting/Schools

Museum Ballenberg - perfect for people of all ages on a nice day. Houses from all over Switzerland were brought to this park. You can walk around the park, look at the houses and see people doing handwork like making shingles and pounding iron. My 3 year old loved it.
Einsiedeln - beautiful cloister with an unusual black madonna and horses out back, there is a row of restaurants behind the main parking area at the front of the cloister, the one with the giant colorful fish on the front has a fantastic play area for kids.
Höllgrotten in Baar (Central Switzerland) 2 beautiful limestone caves that you can walk through with some easy picturesque forest walking- suitable for small children.
Fossil hunting it is rumored that in the town of Frick you can find some fricking fossils.

Daehlhoelzli Tierpark has a nice playground and a family friendly restaurant.
Gurten Park The Gurten is the local "mountain" in Bern, with lots of open space, play areas, kid's train, and restaurant. Lots of kids sledding there in winter as well. Good views on the city and the Alps.
Atzmaennig The first giant slide in Switzerland (700 m long, 126 m difference in altitude) and a trampoline. 55 min from Zuerich
